Vision Awareness Seminars for Age and Disease Related Vision Loss

Seminars are conducted in the community at various locations where seniors gather and they provide valuable information and resources regarding the different types of Vision Loss, the Adaptive Devices that can help and the many resources available both at the Dallas Lighthouse and with other local and state agencies. The Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind also conduct one-on-one in-home visits with seniors to help address their experiences regarding their vision loss.

This program helps North Texans develop the adaptive life skills they need when they experience vision changes as part of aging of disease related problems. Last year we served 636 seniors in their homes.

There is no cost for these services. To learn more about our Seminars and In-Home Visits call Terry McManus at (214)420-9428
